NGO Day Celebration & Inauguration of “Kaithangu” Palliative Care Unit

With the inspiring message “There is no greater worship than service”, Mariya Bhavanam Charitable Trust celebrated NGO Day with great enthusiasm and compassion on 27th February 2026. The occasion was made even more meaningful with the official inauguration of our new palliative care initiative, “Kaithangu” Palliative Care Unit.

Inauguration Ceremony

The program was presided over by Smt. Nirmala Santhosh, Chairperson of Mariya Bhavanam Charitable Trust.
The inauguration was formally conducted by Sri Raju Joseph, 10th Ward Member of Peravoor Grama Panchayat.

The event was blessed by the presence of dedicated healthcare and community representatives, including:

  • Smt. Ancy Varghese, Palliative Care Nurse, Peravoor Grama Panchayat

  • Sri Sunil Raj, PRO

  • Trust Council Members: Dileep, Sona, Sudarsanan, and Sisily

  • Nurses: Reena, Suja, Sandhya, Shalu, and Bindu

  • Residents of Mariya Bhavanam and other distinguished guests

The gathering reflected unity, compassion, and commitment towards community service.

Launch of “Kaithangu” Palliative Care Unit

The newly launched Kaithangu Palliative Care Unit aims to extend compassionate care and medical support to patients who require long-term and palliative assistance. This initiative stands as a milestone in our mission to serve the needy with dignity, love, and professional care.
